Join Glamorgan Dragons for one perfect summer sporting weekend, with two matches in three days at the SWALEC Stadium!
Start the weekend in style, on Friday 15 July at 7.10pm, with a passionate local derby, as the Dragons face Gloucestershire Gladiators in their final Friends Life t20 home match of the season; and then enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon with a delicious two-course lunch before cheering Glamorgan in their vital CB40 fixture against Unicorns.
The Dragons will be looking to repeat last Sunday’s crushing ten-wicket Friends Life t20 victory over the Gladiators, who are likely to include Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan – the leading wicket-taker in Test match cricket history – in their team.
Gloucestershire were bowled out for just 81 in Bristol, and will be seeking instant revenge with a batting line-up which earlier this season recorded the second-highest t20 score ever, with 254/3 against Middlesex Panthers.
That is followed on Sunday by a CB40 match against Minor Counties and MCC representative side Unicorns. The Dragons have a great chance of qualifying for the CB40 semi-finals, and need to maintain their good form in this competition with a victory against some of the best young cricketers in the country.
From 12.45pm, one hour before the match, a two-course roast lunch will be served, with a combined ticket for both lunch and cricket costing just £15 (£10 for children under 10).
A roasted breast of chicken will be served with roast potatoes, smashed neeps, a panache of green vegetables and gravy, followed by a summer fruits crème brûlée with tuille biscuit.
Ideal for the whole family or a group of friends, come and see why the SWALEC Stadium is renowned for great food and warm hospitality as well as exciting cricket.
Tickets are available from www.glamorgancricket.com or 029 2041 9311.
