Tiger Bay Brawlers present double header on their home turf!

You may think it's been a while since you saw the striped assassins that are the Tiger Bay Brawlers take to the track at home, and you'd be right. But now they're back - rising up to the challenge of their rivals!

Saturday 7 July sees both the Brawlers A and B teams face some of their toughest opponents yet in a double header bout to be held in Newport Centre.

The first bout of the day sees the Tiger Bay Brawlers' B team take on Rebellion Roller Derby in only their third public bout since debuting against Swansea last year. February saw the B team take a formidable win over the Wakey Wheeled Cats so it'll be no holds barred against Rebellion as the home team fight for their first win in Wales! Whet your appetite for the main event as the relatively new bouting team take on the more-experienced Rebellion Roller Derby who are five places above the Brawlers B team in the European Roller Derby Rankings - a gap the home team will be looking to close!

As if one bout wasn’t enough the main event sees the Tiger Bay Brawlers A team take on the Leeds Roller Dolls Rebel Roses in an effort to further enhance their mark on the European roller derby community. Currently 13th in the European rankings, the Brawlers taking on 6th-placed Leeds will be a huge challenge both physically and mentally.

Leeds Roller Dolls first bouted in November 2008 - some 2 1/4 years before the Tiger Bay Brawlers - and will be one of the most experienced teams the Brawlers have ever faced on the track. Fresh from a highly respectable performance against the London Roller Girls' Brawl Saints and their recent win over the Stuttgart Valley Rollergirlz, the Rebel Roses are sure to give the home team a run for their money.
