The Magners League starts here!

David Young has selected his side for the opening league match of the season against Edinburgh on Saturday, 6.30pm kick off.

Gethin Jenkins starts for the first time this season having not participated in the pre season friendly wins over Exeter and Dragons. In the Forwards there is one other change from the team that started against the Dragons with T Rhys Thomas starting at Hooker. In the backs there is only one change with Richard Mustoe coming in for Leigh Halfpenny who suffered a nasty cut to his mouth in last Friday’s win.

It the first day back and the Blues themed events will continue this weekend in the supporters’ quarter under the Canton Stand. With this being the last weekend before children return to school the Blues have laid on a variety of activities to keep the youngster amused. Eco Theeeko the magician will be performing his tricks, while there will also be face painting and player signings. There will also be a bar open and a school disco laid on for the parents to enjoy.
