Tickets at Tesco for Wales v Australia

Welsh rugby fans can get tickets to see Wales against Australia at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, 3 December at their local Tesco stores from tomorrow (Monday, 3 October).
Tickets for the post-Rugby World Cup fixture will be available at customer service desks in larger Tesco stores throughout Wales*, following a popular campaign at the major supermarket chain during the summer series.
The December fixture, boosted by a traditional 2.30pm kick off, is the first chance for fans to celebrate their Wales squad on home soil after the 2011 RWC and ahead of the 2012 RBS 6 Nations which brings Scotland, Italy and France to Cardiff.
While tickets are now on sale for all upcoming Wales home fixtures via wru.co.uk and the usual official outlets, fans can snap up £50 tickets to watch Wales face Australia without booking fees and credit card charges at Tesco stores.
WRU Head of Sales and Marketing Craig Maxwell said: “Thousands of rugby fans took advantage of ticket sales at Tesco stores for the WRU summer internationals and I’m thrilled to extend this opportunity to fans once more for the Wales versus Australia autumn fixture.
“The relationship with Tesco has allowed the WRU to extend our retail network wider than the already established outlets such as local rugby clubs and Ticketmaster and reminds fans that tickets are indeed available and can be accessed by everyone.
“While the immediate focus for rugby fans is the Rugby World Cup action in New Zealand, those wanting tickets to upcoming home fixtures should not leave it too late. The demand for the home games is always great and with tickets on sale at rugby cubs and Tesco stores, it is even more convenient for rugby supporters to get tickets in their local communities.”
A spokesperson from Tesco commented: “We have thousands and thousands of shoppers visiting our stores in South Wales every week, many of whom are passionate Welsh rugby fans.
“This initiative is advantageous for all Tesco customers who will be able to get their weekly shop and tickets all under one roof. Everyone knows how important rugby is in Wales and we are pleased to be able to align ourselves with the national sport and make rugby tickets accessible to all.”
Fans can also purchase their tickets for the Millennium Stadium clashes from their local rugby club, on the WRU website, by calling the ticket hotlines 08442 777 888 or 02920 230130 and at the WRU Store, 8 Westgate Street, Cardiff.
Hospitality packages are available from £219 for Wales v Australia and £249 for RBS 6 Nations’ games via the Millennium Stadium website millenniumstadium.com.

Both Australia vs Wales have secured quarter-final places by beating England in the tournament's most difficult group. The losers at Twickenham on Saturday 10 oct 2015 know they will still progress, but South Africa await them next in quarter final. The winners will face either Scotland or Japan and should have an easier path towards the final. WATCH AUSTRALIA VS WALES LIVE here
